Why do certain people avoid getting involved in legal matters when it is to their advantage to do so?

Why do they avoid consulting with an attorney even though it does not cost them anything for a legal consultation?

It does not make sense. For over 50 years I have bore witness to the loss of very important rights because people procrastinated or were just too lazy to find out what their rights were. They simply missed the legal deadline.

Let’s talk about a car accident. In Texas you have 2 years to file a lawsuit. If you don’t file the lawsuit within 2 years your right to recover what the negligent guy owes you is gone. So many times the injured person figures they really aren’t hurt that badly and they accept a check in full payment of their claim (which includes their injuries) for the cost of the repair of their automobile. In time they realize that they really were hurt and want to be paid for their injuries, also…so sorry…you signed settlement papers or you waited too long…time is up.

Why put yourself in that position? Don’t be a dummy. The insurance company is interested in one
thing…getting your signature on the dotted line.

It’s up to you to protect your future and the future of your family.

Call a lawyer for a free consultation and it won’t hurt much…at least you will know what your rights are.

If you don’t want to do anything about it after you know, that’s o.k. It’s your business and your decision.
